The railway union decided to suspend their 8 days strike on November 10, in order to fight more against the government and their boss who have been very aggressive on the strike workers.

The government, the Korail and the media have been criticising the union more and more in each day, putting replacement staffs and saying the legal strike illegal, while the strike got more support from workers and people.

So, although the attack from the police and the management do not change at all, the union decided that to keep fighting it needs to save their strength.

Members of ICLS gave replacement staff warm solidarity to their sister organisation, the Korean railway workers’ union, sending written protests to the Korean government and the Korail, and the member organisations are countries such as Japan, Philippine and Thailand.
